Founded some years ago in stourbridge and having undergone several changes in name, and members the Smirkins are a unique band, blending european and british folk melodies with afro caribbean rythymns last year saw the Smerkin Merkins as they were then gigging in front of 1000s at the moseley folk festival, playing between 2 headliners on the orbit side stage, this is there first west midlands gig since this high point, with a new top knotch bassist, a welcome return for them to their favorite stourbridge watering hole, Katie Fitzgeralds
